She’s never really been in shape, but now that she's exercising regularly, she isn’t terribly out of shape either.

Personality: Hermia has always been a little shy when she first meets people. She never knows quite how to break the ice and get to know someone. She was always intelligent and considered to be kind of a geek. She managed to be accepted by most of her classmates and make a few close friends, but she was never a part of the in-crowd. Once she gets to know someone, she loosens up, makes jokes, even gets a little bossy. She’s usually kind of quiet around strangers. For about a year now, Hermia has worried that there is something wrong with her because of her experiences in the Secret Hour, most of which have been spent sitting in her room, trying to go to sleep. She wishes she could find an explanation, but she’s never brought it up after the first time. She doesn’t want anyone to know she might be crazy. Hermia has always loved to read and is fascinated by history.
Family:
- Father: Robert Blumstein
- Mother: Charlotte Blumstein
They’re a typical family, and both parents are Daylighters.
History:
Hermia was born in Houston, Texas. She is an only child and has always been spoiled. Her parents will give her almost anything she wants, and when they’re angry at her, they don’t stay angry very long. She attended a small private school in Houston for most of her life. Hermia was never one of the popular crowd, but not a total loser either. She went through a period where she was slightly overweight, but after going on a diet and working out, she successfully slimmed down. She enjoyed life in Texas.
Then one day, at midnight, she was sitting in her room and reading a book when all of a sudden, the room was filled with blue light. Hermia looked out the window and saw that the street outside was like that, too. Hermia wanted to go outside, but was too frightened, and it was over before she got the chance. She thought it was a dream, but she wasn’t so sure when it came back the next night. She asked her parents about it, but they were Daylighters and of course hadn’t noticed anything. She started to worry she was going crazy when the “dreams” didn’t stop, but she never spoke of it to her parents again.
Recently, her parents got new jobs in Jenks, Oklahoma, working as schoolteachers. She started at the school there, still having the weird dreams. She also began to notice that some objects could be seen while she wasn’t wearing her glasses, and that she didn’t need them at all during the Secret Hour, which she still had not made sense of. She has started doubting that it is really a dream, but she is determined to keep her possible insanity a secret.
Other: Hopefully her story doesn't sound too much like Jessica's. I wanted her in the Bixby area, you know?
